When is a case not just a case? When it's a fashion accessory too!

You may think of a phone case as something that just protects your phone and as long as it doesn't hamper everyday use of the phone your not really bothered about it, right? Wrong. With Smartphones looking sexier by the day, why hide it away in something that looks cheap and tacky when u can protect it in something with style!

The level of quality can be seen right from when you open the great looking presentation box (even the packaging is stylish) with the case heavily protected in tissue paper (no bubble wrap jiffy bags here).

So what's in the box apart from the case? Well the case comes with a great little belt clip which can be rotated into any position or removed totally. The knob which the clip slots onto can also be removed with use of the key provided and the hole left is then plugged with a neat little cap. Personally that's how I prefer to have the case but I'm sure the clip will come in handy. What would be useful, however, is if Piel Frama made a car clip attachment to slot over the knob but at present they don't. You can see how the mechanism works HERE

Ok, that's the packaging and the clip but what about the case itself? Both Brody and I went for the, slightly more expensive, 'Croc-Cowskin' variation and as you can see it looks great. The quality of workmanship on the case is amazing, there's not a stitch out of place. Most other phone cases are of the one-piece style with a clear plastic front to allow use of the phone. The Piel Frama, however, has a flap which covers the front of the phone. Some may this as a problem as you cant use the phone without opening the flap, I see it more of a blessing in disguise because the flap has a strong abs plastic insert which protects against the screen getting cracked. The flap can also be used for storing business cards. You'd have to cut/bend them a bit but it's useful nonetheless.

I only have to small gripes with this case. The first and most annoying is the fact that the phone has a tendency to slip out of the case with the flap open...so be warned. The second is not really much of a problem; it's just that when you go to take a picture with the phone you have to bend the flap back on itself which leaves a rather nasty looking crease in the leather. Apart from that it's awesome. The case is beautiful, the quality and workmanship are flawless and having the plastic insert in the flap will stop you worrying about the screen getting cracked whilst in your pocket.
